About Us
The Chevy Chase Recreation Association (CCRA) is a swim and tennis
club, a non-profit community organization located at 8922 Spring
Valley Road in Chevy Chase, Maryland (near Connecticut Avenue and
the Washington DC Beltway).

Residency Requirement
Memberships may be offered only to those residing within a specific
geographic area of Chevy Chase, Maryland, as defined in the by-laws:
Memberships may be offered only to those residing in Maryland within the area
bounded by Rock Creek Park, Western Avenue, Wisconsin Avenue, East-West Highway
to the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad Track and thence along said track to Rock Creek
Park. In addition, memberships may be offered to applicants who reside on Woodlawn,
Montrose, Parsons or Spring Valley Roads in the area immediately adjacent to the
Association site, or on the west side of Connecticut Avenue from Jones Bridge
to Woodlawn Road.
Application Procedure
A non-refundable $125 application fee must accompany your application card, in order for your name to be placed on our waiting list. Make check payable to CCRA.
Waiting List
Applications are placed on the waiting list, in the order in which the CCRA General Manager receives the application and $125 fee. No exceptions are made. In addition to full memberships, the club offers the following limited participation types.

Guests
Fees are charged for guests who must be accompanied by a member or limited use family member.
Full Membership Fees
There is a permanent membership initiation fee, a capital assessment fee and annual dues.
Currently the permanent initiation fee is $1,000, and a one-time capital assessment fee of $1,000. Annual dues are set each year in accordance with budget estimates. If a permanent member becomes temporarily inactive, the member is charged an annual
maintenance fee.
Transfer of Membership
No membership can be sold, loaned, rented or otherwise transferred
privately, except as provided by the by-laws.
Club Management
A Board of up to 15 volunteer permanent members manages CCRA. The
Board is divided into a number of committees responsible for monitoring
various aspects of club operations. The committees may have both
permanent and non-permanent members. The club asks that each CCRA
member indicate which committee he/she would be interested in serving
on if a vacancy occurs.
