Residency RequirementMemberships may be offered only to those residing within a specific geographic area of Chevy Chase, Maryland, as defined in the by-laws:
Application ProcedureA non-refundable $125 application fee must accompany your application card, in order for your name to be placed on our waiting list. Make check payable to CCRA. Waiting ListApplications are placed on the waiting list, in the order in which the CCRA Business Manager receives the application and $125 fee. No exceptions are made. In addition to full memberships, the club offers the following limited participation types.
* as of 2007 GuestsFees are charged for guests who must be accompanied by a member or limited use family member. Full Membership FeesThere is a permanent membership initiation fee, and annual dues. Currently the permanent initiation fee is $1,000. Annual dues are set each year in accordance with budget estimates. If a permanent member becomes temporarily inactive, the member is charged an annual maintenance fee. Transfer of MembershipNo membership can be sold, loaned, rented or otherwise transferred privately, except as provided by the by-laws. Club ManagementA Board of up to 15 volunteer permanent members manages CCRA. The Board is divided into a number of committees responsible for monitoring various aspects of club operations. The committees may have both permanent and non-permanent members. The club asks that each CCRA member indicate which committee he/she would be interested in serving on if a vacancy occurs.
