For more specific and current information, please check the swim team link at Stingrays Swim Team
All members’ children are eligible to join, except for those families who join and use the Club only in August/September. There are additional fees for each swimmer to join the team. A family with multiple participants is charged a reduced fee after the first family member. Swimmers range in age from 5-18 years old. Swim season starts the day after Memorial Day and continues through mid-July. Practices are held on weekday mornings before the Club opens, and late afternoons during the hours of 4-6:30 p.m. Young swimmers, who are not quite ready to swim for the team, can first join a developmental program led by the coaches. The Stingrays participate in swimming meets through the Montgomery County Swim League (MCSL). MCSL sponsored dual meets are held on five consecutive Saturday mornings during the swim season, both home at CCRA and away at other clubs. Only the fastest swimmers on the team participate in the Saturday meets. There are also Wednesday evening dual meets against other clubs that are open to all team members. There are many social events associated with the swim team, including Pasta Nights, team outings and an end of the season party.
