All items up for vote were approved by an overwhelming majority of ballot submissions. Thank you for your participation.


Raft Night at CCRA
The Pools and Cafe will open again on Saturday, May 23, 2020. 

The tennis courts are available for member play all year; however, CCRA does not remove snow or ice from the courts or the parking lot during the winter months. Be sure that you have your electronic key fob to enter the courts. The single tennis bathroom is normally closed from mid December through the end of February.


Please be respectful of the adjacent neighborhood by driving slowing when you approach or leave CCRA. Be on the look out for children and other pedestrians in the neighborhood and in our parking lots. Thank you!

PARKING:
 

Please park in one of our two parking lots. SECOND PARKING LOT IS LOCATED AT END OF OUR ACCESS ROAD & A PATH LINED WITH BAMBOO & TREES LEADS BACK DOWN TO PICNIC TABLES & THE MAIN ENTRANCE.

Please do not park on the ROADWAY between the two parking lots. overflow PARKing, only after both lots are full, is AT YOUR OWN RISK, IN THE GRASSY M-NCPPC PARK AREA JUST BEFORE THE MAIN CCRA PARKING LOT. IF THERE HAS BEEN TOO MUCH RAIN, YOU WILL GET STUCK & WE DO NOT WANT you TO DAMAGE your car or THE PARK TURF. We do try to rope it off when conditions are too wet to park.

Tennis

2019 Tennis Season

USPTA Professional, Betsy Heidenberger, has been the Tennis Director at the CCRA Swim and Tennis Club since 2004.
Betsy has been involved in the tennis world as a competitive player, instructor, club manager, and entrepreneur for thirty years. After graduating from the University of North Carolina - Chapel Hill in 1982, where she played top singles and doubles positions, she competed on the professional circuit and reached a WTA world ranking of #200. In August 2006, she won the Mid-Atlantic Women’s 45’s Clay Court Championships.

Betsy retired from professional tennis to became Club Manager and Director of the National Cathedral School Tennis Club in Washington, DC for eighteen years, where she was named Greater Washington Pro of the Year and the club was honored at USTA District Club of the Year. The club was terminated in 2001 due to the construction of an athletic center. In 2003, she was honored as the Maryland Pro of the Year. She has been the Varsity Tennis Coach at Holton Arms High School in 2004, which was top ranked in the ISL League with a 14-0 undefeated fall season. In 2006, she was the coach for the Bethesda Chevy Chase High School. Betsy enjoys her winter season by competing and teaching platform tennis. She is APTA Certified and works at the Chevy Chase Club during the winter season as the Platform Tennis Professional. She has received a top 5 National Platform Tennis ranking and winner of several regional tournaments and National 40’s Champion.

Betsy is a member of the Wilson Advisory Staff and has served as he Maryland District Representative for the Mid-Atlantic Tennis Association. In 2006, she reached Level 1Rating for USPTA Certification Education. She has written several tennis tips for Tennis Magazine and articles for the USPTA ADD Magazine, Mid-Atlantic Service Lines, Match Point and Sports Digest.
